Thermae Cafe はワッタナーのスクンビット通りから少し入ったところ、つい通り過ぎてしまいそうな Ruamchit のファサードの奥にある。短い石段、庇の下で灯る赤いランタン、そして同じ入口を共有する仕立て屋と両替カウンターの日常的な雑然。ネオンで自らを知らせることはない。気配はより静かで、より意図的だ。大通りを離れたあとの古いスクンビットの夜によくあるあり方だ。 ここは典型的なフリーランサーバーの領域。舞台仕立ての並びではなく、独立した顔ぶれで部屋が埋まるインコールのたまり場で、客層は、パッケージの夜と、どこか私的な場所へつながり得る会話との違いを知る外国人客に大きく偏る。外の通りは日が暮れたあとの観光客の多いスクンビット——タクシー、遅い食事、ソイの生活のざわめき——だが、あの段を上るとペースは和らぎ、より親密で、自分で選んだものになる。 急がない空気のために、ここにいる誰もが追い込まれたのではなく自分でこの部屋を選んだという感覚のために来るといい。Thermae は、常連のあいだで低い声で語られるバンコクの住所のひとつであり続けている。見世物は少なく、可能性は多い。

Was a regular here 30 years ago, went in for old times sake for 1 beer. Hasn't changed a bit, however 20 baht for a pee is ridiculous. Beers are 130. It's 100% a pick joint and there are many, many FL options. Didn't ask any details though.

Popular meat market at urban. Can be sure no transgender inside. Outside there are lots of transgender. Price inside is higher than outside. Do respect privacy, no photo n video inside. Price for drink is at higher side. Own risk.
