Milk Club sits on Thanon Mahidol in Pa Daet, where Chiang Mai spills south of the old walls into wider roads and after-dark stop-ins rather than a packed tourist strip. Step inside and the room reads like a warehouse turned lounge: corrugated metal overhead, a canopy of string lights and soft pendants, green turf underfoot freckled with colored disco spots. Dark wood chairs and long metal-frame tables stretch between a bamboo thicket and a living wall of greenery, with a big white sail of fabric catching the glow. It is a freelancer bar built for lingering — incall, open-floor, the kind of hall where you settle in, scan the room, and let the night find its own pace instead of a rigid stage script. Mahidol draws a mixed crowd of travellers and local regulars once the heat drops; here the northern night feels roomier, greener, and a touch more unhurried than Bangkok's neon corridors.
